Last night I spent 5 minutes organizing my cloth napkins and place mats in order to maximize the limited storage space in my kitchen. I had 5 small drawers dedicated to cloth napkins and they were getting to the point where they had to be shoved in before I could close the drawers, and I couldn’t find what I was looking for. So I pulled everything out and asked myself, which of these do we really use on a regular basis? Turns out there are 3 sets of napkins and place mats that we tend to use, and the rest of the napkins are just taking up space. So I folded all the matching napkins together, and put them back in the drawers next to the matching place mats. Then I took all the extra napkins and moved them into a plastic storage tote in my hall closet where I keep the occasional/seasonal table linens. In doing this I freed up 3 of the 5 drawers! Now I have quick access to the things I use most, and more usable space!

I’m always a big fan or paring down! I actually just found several old linens and place mats in cleaning out a closet. I saved a few in a more accessible space and donated the rest!
